Constantly changing

This Wiki is constantly changing, and as such, there are certain guidelines which Users must follow while editing so that this Wiki keeps easy to read articles with high standards. Users must have an account approved by a Wiki Moderator to begin editing the wiki, and an account will be banned if the user doesn't keep high standards on the wiki, and generally follow guidelines established by Moderators or more experienced editors, either found on this page, or on a user's Talk page in the case of more specific warnings.

Guidelines

  • Do not create User pages for anyone but yourself.
  • This is a wiki about the history XGenStudios' forum only. Articles about XGen games should be kept short, and there should be no pages which primarily focus on things unrelated to the forums.
  • Don't create useless pages, such as pages which contain little content; this content could be added to other pages. An example of what not to do would be creating an entire article about 1 post on the forums.
  • Don't use any bias in writing; a neutral standpoint which targets nobody in particular is best.
    • Do not troll or flame users of the wiki or members of the forums. Avoid edit wars; use Talk pages to come to a joint decision.
    • Write in the third person infinitive by avoiding the pronouns: "I", "me", "we," "us", "you", and similar.
  • Use good grammar and a spell-checker.
  • Proofread an article before saving it, and try to avoid making several minor edits to 1 article in a row - this wastes space on the Recent Changes page.
  • When writing the name of an article more than once in an article, provide a link to that article only once - on the first mention of the article name. For example: this wiki has a Main Page, and on the Main Page, you will find information about the wiki.
