The XGen Art Club was created in late 2003, around Novermber. This was ultimately the place for anyone on the forum to discuss and share their art work. Kevinok began The Official Sig/Avatar/Logo Request Thread soon after the Art Club was originated, mainly to avoid large amounts of request threads filling the forum, when it could be taken care of in one thread instead. The Art Club started out with different contests, challenges, and displays of various jobs done on signatures/avatars/etc. Members at different times eager to compare their skills with others who were up for the challenge; users uploading various paint/pencil/etc., art creations that they spent hours on; people posting signatures/avatars for feed back and honest opinions. While the Art Club forum has been around for over six years, the "Official Sig/Avatar/Logo Request Thread", and a few others, are still around and being used for the benefit of the members. Over the years the forum section has gone through many stages of activity and art work. There are a few remembered and notable artists such as Hex and Ice Punk that can be named off hand, but many artists shared their pieces there. Anyone who posts their creations should expect feed back, as healthy criticism is a great way to better and perfect your work; getting others opinions on what you've spent time on always helps as it's coming from a different view - healthy and helpful criticism aided and aids many artists of XGen. While there are untold amounts of members that discontinued what they were gifted at, it's always pleasant to have quality posters display some of their creative works in the Art Club.

Many of the threads now are full of impersonal messages towards the original posters art. In most cases you will see lines such as "nice job, I like it", or "that sux", rather than members expressing what they like about the subject, or what they dislike. The intention of the Art Club is for users to observe, share, discuss, and over all evaluate, what has been shown, whether it be good or bad; the original poster is, in most circumstances, sharing what they've done so they can receive honest replies and opinions on said work. Keeping the art forum section active is appreciated, but if you're going to post there, take the time to express likes and dislikes in hopes of helping the artist advance in what they do.
