The formation of teh penguin, I'm definitely not copying Woolfenstien
evil penguin first discovered the forum around September 25, 2005, a young penguin at the age of 11 years old. e p discovered the forums during Xgen's own "Miniclip Raids". At that time, several members joined Miniclip forums and spammed up sections of the forum, most notably the Motherload section. Being on the receiving end and also 11 years old, e p was pissed, and he went to check out Xgen's forum. It was like love at first sight. Here e p saw a forum much better than the one he was currently using. So it was for a fortnight that e p lurked Xgen studios forums, getting to know members, though they did not know him. So one day, October 9, 2005, e p decided to register, under the alias of evil_penguin. spoiler:Later changed to evil penguin in the distant future
Posting Style
evil penguin is considered by many Xgen members to be a unique poster. When e p joined, he was one of those nicer but naive members. e p would say hello and give you the time of day, but learned early on that Irrelevance was meant for "teh smart pplz". e p never used bad grammar, however, being a member of another forum at the age of 9 in the summer of 2003.
E_p eventually became a poster with a cynical and sarcastic edge, partially due to emulating members, emulating certain family members, and in 20057, discovering a secret website that scarred e p for life but also gave him a rebirth.
Assimilation/A Brief History of EP
Evil penguin unknowingly made a name for himself just a few weeks after registering. One day, Xgen staffer Danny made a thread in the General section of the forum proclaiming the creation of an awesome new game: Stick Arena. Stick Arena, with all the power of the Stick RPG 2 combat engine and later Xgen's most popular game. Danny needed beta testers. Sounds good to e p, amirite? No. Beta keys had to be paid at a costly 100XC. A dejected e p was quoted as saying "Darnit, I spent all my XCash. sadface". But there was a surprise! The next morning, e p got a PM from Danny entitled [title goes here when I get unb&], with a message: [message]. A young penguin, 11 years old you might remember, still knew when to keep his mouth shut. He took the key and played thug aim. Evil penguin met many of Xgen's "vets", and essentially netted himself as a friend of the Prodigal, noobpwner1, and even chejrw. Others might've liked him, too; who wouldn't?
Two months later, in December 2005, a weekly Sock Council thread appeared. Earlier, a now 12 years old evil_penguin applied for a spot in the glorious council, but wasn't hopeful. Think of evil_penguin in December 2005 as jrmagic360, only with less experience. However, by Chief Sock's order (chejrw at the time), evil_penguin was accepted as a Sock Council member! Liek omg! Evil penguin received a meager two votes, but chejrw thought evil_penguin was a nice guy, so he was accepted.
Evil penguin gradually became more and more popular, but never a well-rounded member. Unfortunately, evil penguin does not recall his days of 2006, so he has no idea how some people respected him to begin with. Perhaps it was due to e p getting 5500 posts by Mid-2006. Perhaps he's just awesome. Whatever it was, it happened.
Evil penguin has been known to be on several hiatuses. In 2005, he left for a brief period due to bad grades, but quickly found a way back onto the forums. E p has also missed some time in 2006, the first few months of 2007, and about half of 2008.
In 2007, a now 13 year old evil penguin roamed the forums, smarter and more and more cynical. E p would criticize more and more, topping anything he had ever done before. A member with a keen eye would notice that e p was using swear words a lot. This stage of his career at Xgen can best be classified as "Peak of Development". At this point, evil penguin was fully assimilated into the forums but still lacked the nuances of a well-rounded user. In the summer of 2007, evil_penguin changed drastically, an upgrade to the nice little 11 year old that joined Xgen.
A newer upgrade was soon to come...
E(3)P(.0) (EP 3.0 w/a bad pun)
In late 2008, evil_penguin returned to Xgen, shortly after turning 15 years old. Evil penguin was last known to be partially active over the summer, and fully active in late 2007. This evil_penguin was a different one--peak of sarcastic behavior, but the grace of a successful troll. On top of that, evil_penguin finally possessed the intelligence that he never had, and the skills to prove an argument. With that, evil penguin ventured into Irrelevance and looked for a thread. Evil penguin saw a thread about Thanksgiving, and made a simple post, correcting a common misconception. Several people were on e_p in an instant, but he stood strong. Even though evil penguin wonders if he actually proved his points, he felt he had a real feather in his cap and ventured into other threads. Evil penguin currently resides in Spammer Land with a summer home in Irrelevance.
