Introductions!

The Introductions! forum is listed as the third forum section under the XGen Studios category. The purpose of this forum is for new members to introduce themselves to the community, allowing everyone the chance of getting to know some details about them before they begin their posting tendencies. Some of the users who have been around the forum for a while create introduction threads if they never have in the past and want to properly introduce themselves to everyone around forum. While not every new member takes the initiative by sending a salutation, the Introductions! forum rarely goes through any lengthy inactive periods. It's a bitter fact that a sum of the members who create a greeting thread, don't post again after said thread is made. Once in a while bots will attempt to start conversations in welcome threads of the past, but those are taken care of quickly; there are incidences where a user will, usually unintentionally, bump an old thread located deep within the forum section, but the problem ceases to exist quite soon after being performed.

Many members, however, use the Introductions! forum as an opportunity to increase their post count by relaying simple greeting messages in every thread, rather than being more personal with each new members' introduction. It is encouraged to excel this type of behavior by posting complete and intricate words of welcome to anyone introducing themselves. The mediocre "hi" or "welcome to the forums" is typically frowned upon by the more sophisticated members. While welcoming the new comers of the XGen forums is appreciated, the simple greetings are jaded and impersonal. If you're going to take the time to post in the introduction threads, it is suggested that you greet each new individual with a message pertaining to them, rather than giving a message that could be copied and put in each thread located in that section.
