Origin

The fruit signatures mania started when Aquamenti decided to make himself a signature similar to denacioust's in March 2 2009. He was not aware that more people would do so later, but was happy to create more for people who wanted one.

Creation

Denacioust's banana signature was originally created by AssaultRifle. Aquamenti created his own and many other fruit sigs on his own template, but later he retired and many people made their sigs individually, some with the same size and template.

Contents

All fruit sig owners used the template of 500x125 pixels introduced by denacioust with his banana sig. A fruit signature would consist of

  • a fruit
  • a solid background in a light color related to the fruit
  • a border in the darker shade of the same color
  • a name in the color of the border

Fruit avatars

Many, but not all fruit signature owners also had a matching avatar. Fruit avatars included:

  • a fruit
  • a light background
  • a dark border
  • a dark name
  • optionally, a name of a real or fictional celebrity who would be either connected to the fruit or the owner of the sig (Examples: Andy Warhol, Jack Sparrow)
  • optionally, the username of the owner (Example: chejrw)
  • colors matching the sig

Fruit sigs were used by quite a few XGen members. An incomplete list of fruit signature owners is following:
